About
Founder & Managing Partner, Good Harbor Advisory. Strategic finance and corporate development leader with 20+ years advising boards, management teams, and investors on transformation, capital formation, and growth.
Hunter Patton founded Good Harbor Advisory to offer something that is genuinely scarce in the advisory market: senior financial counsel grounded in real operating experience — from building finance functions inside high-growth companies to leading the most complex, multi-party capital transactions in the market. As group head, he served as the single point of accountability across M&A, capital markets, private placements, federal loan programs, environmental and legal advisors, and third-party diligence — bringing every workstream to a single outcome.
Hunter's career spans the full arc of corporate finance — from investment banking at Citi and Wells Fargo, where he advised global industrials and automotive clients on M&A and capital markets, to director-level roles in corporate development at Ford Motor Company, to building the finance organization of a high-growth energy startup from the ground up as VP & Treasurer.
That breadth is deliberate. It means Hunter brings the rigor of an investment banker, the strategic instincts of a corporate development executive, and the operational fluency of someone who has actually run a finance team through periods of rapid growth. Very few advisors can credibly occupy all three of those vantage points simultaneously.
At Good Harbor Advisory, Hunter focuses on the kinds of situations where that combination matters most: companies at an inflection point — preparing for a capital raise, navigating a transformational partnership, scaling a finance function to match growth, or developing the financial narrative that brings investors and commercial partners into alignment.
Every engagement is led directly by Hunter. No handoffs. No junior teams. Just the counsel you engaged for, applied with the full weight of his experience.
